Getting Around Surigao: A Self-Drive Guide
Surigao City is the mainland gateway to Siargao – about 60 kilometers away, though the final leg is a roughly 1.5-hour ferry crossing rather than a bridge, so plan to park your rental near the port.
In the city and surrounding area, Lake Mainit – the Philippines’ 4th largest and deepest lake – is a scenic stop, alongside the province’s well-known island-hopping and cave systems.
Further south, Hinatuan’s Enchanted River and Bislig’s Tinuy-an Falls (the “Niagara Falls of the Philippines”) are both reasonable day-trip extensions if you have more time, along with the Dinagat Islands for a quieter island-hopping alternative.
Check out our fleet above and get in touch if you’d like route suggestions for your specific itinerary.
