Getting Around Subic: A Self-Drive Guide
Subic Bay Freeport Zone is about 110 kilometers from Metro Manila – roughly 2 to 3 hours via NLEX and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), making a self-drive rental a comfortable way to make the trip.
Inside the freeport, Ocean Adventure Marine Park and Zoobic Safari are easy family stops, while Camayan Beach Resort and Inflatable Island Beach Club cover the beach side of things.
For something quieter, Potipot Island in Candelaria is a scenic drive further up the coast, and the Redondo Peninsula’s secluded coves and pine-forested mountains are worth exploring if you have an extra day – Subic is also a reasonable base for a Mt. Pinatubo day trip.
Check out our fleet above and get in touch if you’d like route suggestions for your specific itinerary.
