Getting Around Kalibo: A Self-Drive Guide
Kalibo is the main airport gateway to Boracay – from Kalibo, it’s about a 2-hour drive to Caticlan Jetty Port, followed by a short 10–15 minute ferry crossing to the island itself.
Before heading to the jetty, Kalibo itself is worth a stop – the Kalibo Public Market offers a genuine taste of Aklan life, and if you’re visiting in January, the Ati-Atihan Festival is one of the oldest and biggest in the Philippines.
Further off the beaten path, Pagatpat Mangrove Park in Buruanga and the Liktinon White Rocks eco-tourism site in Madalag both make worthwhile detours if you have an extra day before or after Boracay.
Check out our fleet above and get in touch if you’d like route suggestions for your specific itinerary.
Prefer not to drive? Book a Kalibo taxi or pick-up/drop-off for point-to-point rides. For construction and hauling work, see heavy equipment and truck rental in Kalibo. Travelling further? Compare car rental rates in other cities.
